The full trip description

Sicily’s capital (and largest city) is Palermo – a spellbinding metropolis home to Italy’s largest opera house (the Teatro Massimo) and centuries-old cathedrals and palaces.

An eclectic mix of Byzantine mosaics, thronging marketplaces and baroque churches make Palermo a real feast for the senses. Explore the city’s vibrant, historic corners and crevices – including the 12th century Cathedral and 9th century Norman Palace – during your seven-night stay here at the 4* CDS Terrasini Resort.

Fringed by acres and acres of picture-perfect garden landscape, the CDS Terrasini boasts beautiful views of the Gulf of Castellammare (plus the famous “Toboggan” water slide leading into the balmy Gulf) as well as three different swimming pools.

When you’re not sunbathing or shimmying into azure-coloured waters via the slide, load up on Italian delicacies at the restaurant, pamper yourself at the wellness centre or soak up the views from the solarium. The resort is also conveniently located, with all the major airports, ports and cultural sights a short journey away.
